The Sheffield Manor Play Area and the Millwood
Village Play Area, as well as any other play areas owned by the Washington
Township Supervisors and not regulated by other ordinances of the
Township, are for the benefit and pleasure of the residents of Washington
Township, and all persons who use these play areas shall do so in
accordance with the rules and regulations prescribed herein. Further,
these rules and regulations shall preserve the natural habitat as
much as possible, while permitting development of recreation needs
to serve the residents of Washington Township.

The Sheffield Manor Play Area, Millwood Village
Play Area and any other play area owned by the Township shall be closed
from sunset, prevailing time, to sunrise, prevailing time. All persons
found within these play areas between those hours shall be subject
to the penalties herein provided by this article, unless they have
been granted permission in writing by the Board of Supervisors or
their representative, to be in and use said play area during the time
that the play area is closed. In addition, special events approved
by the Board of Supervisors, or their representative, may include
activities in the play area during periods the area is normally closed.

The Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized
to adopt by resolution rules and regulations for the Sheffield Manor
and Millwood Village play areas, from time to time, as the Board of
Supervisors deems necessary. This article and any amendments thereto
and all rules and regulations established pursuant to this article
or its amendments shall be posted at the Sheffield Manor and Millwood
Village play areas subject hereto. Any person found to be violating
any of the general provisions of this article or its amendments or
any rules or regulations established pursuant to this article shall
be considered to have constructive knowledge of both this article
and its amendments and the rules and regulations and may be considered
to be a defiant trespasser pursuant to applicable provisions of the
Crimes Code.

Any person who violates or permits a violation
of this article shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding brought
before a Magisterial District Judge under the Pennsylvania Rules of
Criminal Procedure, be guilty of a summary offense and shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution. In default
of payment thereof, the defendant may be sentenced to imprisonment
for a term not exceeding 90 days. Each day or portion thereof that
such violation continues or is permitted to continue shall constitute
a separate offense, and each section of this article that is violated
shall also constitute a separate offense. The minimum fine to be imposed
is $50 per day or portion thereof for a first offense; $100 per day
or portion thereof for a second offense and $500 per day or portion
thereof for each subsequent offense. The Magisterial District Judge
may impose a fine of more than the minimum amounts set forth above.

Parks acquired by the Township are for the benefit and pleasure
of the residents of and visitors to the Township of Washington, Franklin
County, Pennsylvania, and all persons who use the parks shall do so
in accordance with rules and regulations which may be adopted, from
time to time, by resolution of the Board of Supervisors.
The following parks are owned by the Township and subject to
the provisions of this article:
