A. 
Permit. No awning shall be erected or constructed until a permit has been issued by the Construction Official and the bond, if required, shall have been filed.
B. 
Plans and specifications. Prior to the issuance of a permit, plans and specifications showing the dimensions, materials and required details of construction, including loads, stresses and anchorage, shall be filed with the Construction Official.
C. 
Owner's consent. All applications for the erection or construction of an awning shall be accompanied by the written consent of the owner or lessee of the premises upon which the awning is to be erected.
D. 
Alterations. No awning shall be enlarged or relocated except in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. The changing of movable parts of an approved awning that is designed for such changes or the repainting or reposting of display matter not been deemed an alteration, provided that the conditions of the original approval and the requirements of this chapter are not violated.
E. 
Material. All awnings shall be made of canvas, cloth or similar material and shall be forest green in color as such color is defined by Pantone Matching System 349. Such awning shall not be backlighted.
