In the event of the actual or threatened accumulation of snow or ice on public streets within the Village, the Mayor is hereby empowered to make a finding that the parking of vehicles on one or more public streets within the Village will imperil the public safety by impairing the safe and early sanding, plowing and clearing of said public streets.

Upon making the finding set forth in § 537-1 hereof, the Mayor is hereby authorized to designate one or more public streets within the Village as snow emergency streets and to cause the same to be posted as such for a period not to exceed 72 hours in the case of any one street.
No person shall park a vehicle on any street within the Village which is posted as a snow emergency street.
Each and every violation of the provisions of this article shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $250.
