The purpose of this article is to provide for
the regulation of traffic in the private condominium complex known
as "Acorn Ponds at North Hills" (hereinafter referred to as "Acorn
Ponds"), pursuant to Vehicle and Traffic Law § 1640-a, pursuant
to request received from the Board of Managers thereof.
The following intersections are designated as
stop intersections, the stop signs shall be erected, at the expense
of Acorn Ponds, at all entrances to said intersections:
A. Spring Hollow and Acorn Ponds Drive.
B. Frost Pond and Acorn Ponds Drive.
C. Chestnut Hill and Acorn Ponds Drive.
D. Pheasant Run -- Squirrel Hill and Acorn Ponds Drive.
E. Old Field and Acorn Ponds Drive.
Parking shall be prohibited in Acorn Ponds at
the following locations:
A. On Acorn Ponds Drive and Pheasant Run in front of
the clubhouse, swimming pool and tennis courts.
B. During school hours, on the north side of Acorn Ponds
Drive between Shelter Rock Road and Spring Hollow.
C. Between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and between 2:00
p.m. and 4:00 p.m., on school days, in the cul-de-sac at the westerly
end of Acorn Ponds Drive.
D. In front of any walkway, stairway, driveway or garage
entrance or within five feet of any street corner.
E. Within any area marked by yellow/orange paint and
designated by the Boards of Managers as no-parking area.
F. On the north side of Acorn Ponds Drive between Pheasant
Run and Old Field, except on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
G. On any
street during periods of snow events as declared by the Board of Managers
or authorized agent.

A. Where
parking is authorized parallel to the curb or adjoining property,
vehicles may park only in the direction of travel, and only in a lawful
parking space abutting the adjacent curb.
B. Where
parking is authorized other than parallel to the curb or adjoining
property, vehicles may park only within a single lawful parking space
and adjacent to the curb or adjoining property.
C. No parking
is permitted other than in a parking space abutting the adjacent curb
or other property. No vehicle may be double parked.
D. No vehicle
unattended by a license operator shall stand or be parked in a manner
which impedes the normal flow of traffic.
E. Where
individual parking spaces are delineated in an area authorized for
parking, no vehicle shall be parked in whole or in part in more than
one parking space.
F. Vehicles
which are of a size or dimensions which will not fit within one designated
parking space may park only in indented parking areas or on Acorn
Ponds Drive.
G. No vehicle
may continuously be parked in the same location for a period in excess
of five consecutive days.
The speed limit within Acorn Ponds shall be
15 miles per hour.
The parking or standing of any vehicle within
10 feet of a fire hydrant is prohibited unless such vehicle is attended
by a licensed driver or chauffeur who is seated in the front seat
of the vehicle and who is able to move such vehicle immediately in
the event of an emergency or if directed to do so by a police officer
or other authorized person.
Where permitted, parking shall be in the direction
of traffic only.
The parking of any commercial vehicle, boat,
trailer or bus on any street in Acorn Ponds is prohibited between
the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
The Boards of Managers of Acorn Ponds are hereby
authorized to erect such signs as may be required for the control
of traffic or parking as provided herein, provided such signs are
of the type and style and are located in the same manner as would
be required for such signs if erected by the Village of North Hills.
In the event the said Boards of Managers do not erect or install or
maintain such signs as are required for the enforcement of this article,
the Village of North Hills may do so at the expense of the said Boards
of Managers.

Any person who violates any provisions of the
traffic or parking regulations established by this article shall be
guilty of a violation and subject to a fine not to exceed $200 for
each such offense.
