This chapter is enacted pursuant to the authority of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law of the Town of Philipstown."
A. 
The words and terms of this chapter shall have the same meaning as such words and terms as used in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, unless otherwise provided herein or the context requires a different meaning.
B. 
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
OFFICER
The chief law enforcement officer of the Town of Philipstown or, if so designated by the Town Board, the chief law enforcement officer of the County of Putnam.
TOWN
The Town of Philipstown.
Games of chance may be conducted in the Town of Philipstown by an authorized organization after obtaining a license therefor, in accordance with the provisions, requirements and limits of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter. In addition to the restrictions contained in § 189 of the General Municipal Law, the conduct of games of chance in the town of Philipstown shall be subject to such additional restrictions as may be imposed by the Town Board of the Town of Philipstown by amendments to this chapter or by resolution of the Town Board with specific reference to this chapter.
