The owner or the authorized agent of the owner shall apply for a CSDCMAC on the application form provided by the Fire Prevention Department. The application shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee as set forth in §
132-18.
A CSDCMAC shall not be transferable. If the
change of occupancy specified on the application for a CSDCMAC does
not occur within six months, a new application shall be required.
No CSDCMAC shall be issued until inspection
by the Fire Prevention Department indicates compliance with N.J.A.C.
5:70-4.19.

A. CSDCMAC fees:
(1) Application fee: $50 per dwelling unit for initial inspection plus
one reinspection if needed.
(2) For each additional reinspection: $50.
(3) For rush inspections scheduled with less than seven days' notice:
$150.
(4) To reschedule no-show inspections or reinspections: $50.
B. No-show shall be held to mean:
(1) Owners/agents who fail to meet an inspector within five minutes of
the appointed time.
(2) Owners/agent who do not have a key to enter premises for scheduled
inspection or reinspection.
(3) Electrical power to a premises is disconnected and smoke detectors
to be tested are powered by electrical current from the structural
wiring system.
C. Residential fire suppression systems.
(1) For initial inspection of automatic residential fire suppression
systems at time of CSDCMAC inspection: $25.
(2) For each reinspection of automatic residential fire suppression systems:
$25.
D. Penalty: The penalty for failure to obtain a CSDCMAC prior to the
sale, lease or other change in occupancy for any R-3, R-4 or R-5 structure
shall be $500.
