A. Use of land; construction of buildings. On and after
December 13, 2006, no person shall occupy or use any land or construct
or locate any building within the bounds of the Township of Springfield,
except in conformity with the restrictions and regulations established
by this chapter for the district in which such land or building is
located and in conformity with all other pertinent terms and provisions
of this chapter.

B. Existing uses and structures. In all districts, after
December 13, 2006, any existing building or other structure, or any
tract of land or use, which is not in conformity with the regulations
for the district in which it is located shall be deemed as nonconforming
and subject to the appropriate regulations of this chapter governing
such nonconforming uses, lots and structures.

C. Commencement of construction. Nothing herein contained
shall require any change in laws or construction of a lawful use where
building permits had been issued before September 1, 1988, and which
were completed by March 1, 1989, or such further time as may have
been allowed by the Township for large construction projects. However
if no substantial construction has been made and no contract or contracts
have been let prior to September 1, 1988, then the building permits
affected are hereby declared void.
