[Adopted as Sec. 5-12 of the 1976 Revised General Ordinances]
No person shall consume any alcoholic beverage within the Township or have in his or her possession any alcoholic beverage unless it is contained within the original sealed container while:
A. 
In or on any public street, road, highway, lane or thoroughfare, including parking lots.
B. 
In or upon any private property or private street, road, highway, beach, park, recreational facility, land or thoroughfare, including parking lots, without the consent or permission or authorization of the owner of such property, or without the express authorization, consent or permission of a person or board director authorized to grant such consent, permission or authorization with respect to such property.
C. 
While in or upon any motor vehicle or any public conveyance, whether in motion or parked, in, upon or located on such public or private property.
D. 
While in or upon the lands or property of the municipal building, Veteran's Park, or public library without the express authorization of the Township Council.
Nothing in this article shall be construed to prohibit the consumption or sale of alcoholic beverages on or in any place in which an alcoholic beverage control license has been issued, or in or upon any public lands, or in the hall, clubhouse or meeting area of any civic, religious or community association within the Township, subject to the rules and regulations of the alcoholic beverage control laws.
