GENERAL REFERENCES
Use of municipal building and grounds — See Ch. 220.
The following words and terms shall have the
meanings herein indicated for the purposes of this chapter:
Any park, ballfield, recreation facility, owned or leased
by the Township of West Milford for public purposes.
Any building or enclosed structure held, used, owned, leased
or controlled exclusively by the Township of West Milford for public
purposes.
The use of or burning of a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe
or any other matter or substance which contains tobacco, including
chewing tobacco.
It shall be unlawful for any person to use tobacco
in any public building, park, or recreation facility.
A violation of this chapter shall be enforced as follows: Any municipal or county health official engaged in executing or enforcing this chapter may order any person using tobacco in violation of this chapter to comply with the provisions of this chapter. Thereupon any member of the public who uses tobacco in a public building, park, or recreation facility in violation of this chapter is subject to the penalties imposed in Chapter 1, Article III, General Penalty, of the Township Code.
