When, by vote of the majority of the Commission, it is deemed to be
in the public interest to hold a public hearing on any matter, such public
hearing shall be held, on notice as hereinafter provided, at a time and place
designated by the Chairperson. Such public hearing may be either in conjunction
with or separate and apart from a regular or special meeting of the Commission.
A.
Notice of a public hearing to be held by the Commission
shall be published in the issue of the official newspaper of the Village preceding
the date of such hearing.
B.
The Secretary shall serve or cause to be served, sufficiently
in advance thereof, a written notice of the time and place of any public hearing
upon each party determined by the Commission to be an interested party in
each matter to be brought before the public hearing.
C.
At the direction of the Commission, the Secretary shall
serve or cause to be served, sufficiently in advance thereof, written notice
of any public hearing upon any other individual or any agency or official

been contained in the notice thereof. Any person, whether or not entitled
to notice, shall be given an opportunity to be heard. The rules governing
the regular meetings of the Commission shall be followed with respect to appearances
and submissions. Any public hearing may be adjourned to a later date by a
vote of a majority of the members of the Commission present at the date originally
fixed for such hearing, and, unless otherwise directed by the Commission,
no notice need be given of any adjourned public hearing.
