In the case of a vacancy in the position of
Superintendent of Police, upon review and consultation with the Township
Manager, the Township Board of Commissioners may nominate a person
for that position to the Commission, which shall thereupon subject
such person to a noncompetitive examination; and if such person shall
be certified as qualified by the Commission, he/she may then be appointed
to such position by the Board.
