Wherever a space is marked off on any street
for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there
shall be parked wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it
shall be a violation of this article for any person to park a vehicle
or allow it to remain parked otherwise.

stand or park a vehicle (other than a pedalcycle) on the roadway side

A. No major recreational equipment (including boats and
boat trailers, travel trailers, pickup campers or coaches, motorized
dwellings, tent trailers and other trailers, including, but not limited
to, trailers for hauling snowmobiles and so forth, and cases or boxes
for transporting recreation equipment) and no trucks in excess of
14,000 pounds gross vehicular weight shall be parked or stored on
any public street in the Township for more than eight hours.

B. Any person who violates any provision of this section
shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than
$600 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs,
to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that such
violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.

A. Definitions. As used in this section, the following terms shall have
the meanings indicated:
DUMPSTER
A large trash receptacle for disposal or refuse to be temporarily
located on a property, and designed to be hoisted onto a specially
equipped truck for emptying or hauling away of the refuse contained
therein, or any similar device.
TEMPORARY PORTABLE STORAGE UNIT (TPSU)
A transportable, standardized, reusable vessel or container,
or receptacle that originally and specifically designed for or is
used in stowing, packing, shipping, moving, or transporting freight,
articles, good or commodities, and is designed for or is capable of
being mounted or moved on a truck, and is located at site for temporary
storage or personal property, or any similar device, and is more commonly
known as a "Pack Rat" or "POD."
B. Time limitations established. No dumpster or TPSU shall be placed,
parked, or stored on any public street or roadway in the Township
for more than 14 consecutive calendar days.
C. Procedures and restrictions on the placement of Dumpsters and TPSUs.
(1) Prior to the placement of any dumpster or TPSU on any public street,
prior approval of the Upper Pottsgrove Township Police Department
shall be required to insure that the location does not adversely impact
traffic or pedestrians, or obscure the necessary site triangles for
intersections or operators of motor vehicles using the public streets.
(2) Any and all such dumpsters or TPSUs shall be required to be equipped
with appropriate reflectors or markings so they are clearly visible
to traffic during both day time and night time hours. In addition,
all such structures shall be properly secured when not in use so as
to prevent any adverse impact to public health or safety.
(3) Any and all such units shall contain appropriate reflectors/markings
so they are clearly visible to traffic.

Except as otherwise noted, any person who violates and provisions
of this article shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine
of not less than $25 nor more than $150, plus costs.
