Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:67-1, the City Tax Assessor is authorized and
directed to provide a system of numbering for all blocks and lots within the
City and for the assignment of a street address to each building located within

they shall be required to display upon the respective building the assigned
property numbers in numerals which shall be at least four inches in height,

from the street.
All City officials are authorized and directed to change all records
and other documents to reflect any changes in the numbering system as are
hereinafter designated by the City Tax Assessor.
The City Tax Assessor is authorized and directed to notify the United
States Postal Department, through the Postmaster of the City of Cape May,
of assigned house numbers as they are hereinafter assigned by the Tax Assessor.
