It is the intent of the Town Board of the Town
of Clarkstown to accept the option to increase the veterans tax exemption.
As authorized by Subdivision 2(d)(ii) of §
458-a of the Real Property Tax Law, as added by Chapter 525 of the
Laws of 1984 and amended by Chapter 477 of the Laws of 1996 and Chapter
256 of the Laws of 2005, the Town of Clarkstown does hereby increase
the maximum exemption allowable in Subdivision 2(a), (b), and (c)
to $54,000, $36,000, and $180,000, respectively.
