No person or other entity shall burn, cause, suffer, allow or permit the burning in an open fire in the Village of South Glens Falls of garbage, refuse or other rubbish generated by residential activities within the Village.
The applicable sections of Art. 72 of Title 6 of the Environmental Conservation Law of the State of New York and more particularly that language set forth in Section 215.2 of said Title 6 of the New York Codes, Rules and Regulations are hereby incorporated by reference in this chapter of the Code of the Village of South Glens Falls.
All local code enforcement officers, including but not limited to the Building Inspector, the Fire Inspector and the South Glens Falls Village Police Department, shall be responsible for the enforcement of this chapter.
Any person, firm or corporation or his or her or its agent, servant, workmen or employee violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both. Each day's continuance of a violation after notice to cease shall be deemed a separate and distinct offense and shall be punishable accordingly.
