A. The fine for a parking ticket shall be $10.
B. Every person convicted of an offense against any provision
of this chapter which is not a violation of any provision of the Vehicle
and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall be guilty of a violation
punishable as follows: for a first conviction, by a fine of not more
than $50 or by imprisonment of not more than 15 days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within 18 months
thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than
$100 or by imprisonment of not more than 45 days, or by both such
fine and imprisonment, upon a third or subsequent conviction within
18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished
by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than
90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
All prior ordinances, regulations and rules,
or parts of such, of this Village regulating traffic and parking are
hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of any ordinance, regulation or rule hereby repealed
prior to the taking effect of this chapter.
The provisions of this chapter shall be amended
by the adoption of regulations by the Board of Trustees pursuant to
§ 1603 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
