No bills or claims for medical, hospital or
other lawful medical treatment shall be paid unless the following
procedures are followed:
A.
A claimant approved to receive § 207-c Benefits
shall notify the Insurance Administrator of expenses for medical services,
hospitalization or other treatment alleged to be related to the injury
or illness giving rise to the claim. To the extent practical, notice
to the Insurance Administrator under this section should be made prior
to incurring the expense.
B.
Bills for drugs, appliances and other supplies will
require filing a copy of the prescription by a doctor with the Insurance
Administrator for the particular items billed, stating thereon that
the items supplied were required as a consequence of the injury or
illness upon which claim for § 207-c Benefits is based.
