the use of said parks, beaches and recreation facilities to the residents
and/or taxpayers of the Town of Yorktown and their bona fide houseguests
in such numbers as may from time to time be limited and under such
circumstances as authorized by the Town Board, and each resident and/or
taxpayer shall be required to display an authorized identification
which may be obtained at the office of the Department of Parks and
Recreation. A permit may be issued by the Department of Parks and
Recreation, the fee for which shall be in an amount as set forth in
the Master Fee Schedule.[1]
A.
Except as hereinafter provided, no person shall loiter
or remain within any park in a vehicle or otherwise between 1/2 hour
after sunset and 1/2 hour before sunrise or, except in an emergency,
cause or permit any vehicle during any part of the period between
1/2 hour after sunset and 1/2 hour before sunrise to remain standing,
except when its occupants are attending a gathering or function held
under a permit or a function sponsored by the town. Persons utilizing
after sunset the lighted Route 202 Ballfield No. 2 and the lighted
tennis courts within Downing Park shall be permitted to remain in
Downing Park up to 1/4 hour after the lights are turned off. On Sunday
mornings only, ballplaying or other athletic activity shall be permitted
at Hunterbrook Field prior to 11:00 a.m.
