All vehicles other than police, fire and ambulance vehicles
are prohibited from using, parking or standing in any designated emergency
lane as established by the City.
Any unoccupied vehicle parking or standing in violation of this
chapter shall be deemed a nuisance, and any police officer, Code Enforcement
Officer or Fire Department officer may provide for the removal of
such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable cost of removal and
storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession
of the vehicle.
Any person owning a vehicle, and the person operating said vehicle wherein a violation of this chapter is caused, shall be responsible for a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, Article
III, General Penalty. Such violations may be issued by any police officer, Code Enforcement Officer or officer of the Bureau of Fire Prevention within the Fire Department. The Bureau of Fire Prevention officer may issue such violations consistent with this chapter or the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code.
