The following standards shall apply whenever
a structure or premises is secured or boarded up as a result of an
order by the Construction Official of the City of Bridgeton or otherwise.
To secure or board up a structure means to cover the door or doors,
windows or other openings to prevent entry and to secure said structure
or premises against such entry.
Any such boarding up and securing of premises
shall be done in a professional and workmanlike manner with consideration
given to the following:
A. Quality and condition of material;
B. Conformance of material to size of area to be covered;
D. Color.
(1) Any material used for boarding up or securing of premises
shall be painted in such a way as to be compatible with the existing
color scheme of the structure or premises; and
(2) When the structure to be secured or boarded up is
within the limits of the Historic District, the Historic District
Officer shall approve of the color and materials used.
Violations of the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, Article
III, General Penalty.
