Pursuant to this chapter, as may be deemed necessary and proper,
the City Council of the City of Bridgeton shall establish rates, fees,
rules and regulations pertaining to waste collection, removal, and
disposal.
The Director of Public Works shall exercise general supervision,
subject to such ordinances as may be passed, over municipal trash
collection.
The City Council of the City of Bridgeton shall, by resolution,
fix such flat rates for collection as the City of Bridgeton deems
necessary to be charged to the owner of the lands and premises from
which such collection is made.
No part of the cost of the collection, removing and disposing of waste material or other refuse within the City shall be assessed on properties identified in §
300-2F as not subject to municipal waste collection.
The City Tax Collector shall have charge of all the books of
the trash collection system and make all collections for said municipal
trash collection system and shall deposit all monies received with
the City Finance Department in such manner and at such times as directed.
All such flat fees charged shall be payable quarterly to the
City Collector or other duly authorized person. If any person fails
to pay said charge and said charge remains unpaid for a period of
90 days after billing, said person shall be deemed in violation of
this article.
In addition to the flat fee specified in Article
II, all residents who desire to have bulky waste or white goods picked up and disposed of shall first be required to pay for and obtain from the City of Bridgeton Tax Office, or authorized agent, a single-use Bridgeton trash sticker.
For purposes of AWM collection, the City of Bridgeton establishes
five municipal collection districts as set forth on a map on file
in the Department of Public Works office. The collection district
days shall be:
