The purpose of this chapter is to promote the health, safety,
and welfare of people in the City of Saratoga Springs by establishing
regulations that help to assure that persons receiving pre-hospital
care and ambulance service in the City will receive appropriate and
adequate care and attention. It is hereby declared to be the policy
of the City of Saratoga Springs that all pre-hospital care and ambulance
services available in the City shall be available from personnel trained,
certified, and prepared to render advanced life support services.
This chapter is enacted pursuant to City Charter §§ 6D
and 6.3.2 authorizing the Commissioner of Public Safety to establish
Public Safety Service Programs and Emergency Medical Services Plans.
