There is established the City of Rehoboth Beach
Planning Commission.

The City Planning Commission shall consist of
nine members, who shall be residents, property owners, registered
voters, or persons eligible to register to vote within the City of
Rehoboth Beach. Members shall be appointed for terms of three years.
The appointment of all members shall be made by the Mayor, subject
to the confirmation by a majority of the elected members of the City
of Rehoboth Beach Commissioners.
The Mayor, City Manager and the members of the
Zoning Commission shall be ex officio members of the Planning Commission.
An ex officio member may exercise all the powers of the regular members
of the Planning Commission. No ex officio member shall have or hold
an office on the Planning Commission.
All members shall serve without compensation
but may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in connection with
their official duties.
The Planning Commission shall elect annually
a Chairman and Secretary from among its members and may employ experts,
clerks and such other assistance that its fiscal appropriations shall
permit. The Planning Commission may also appoint a custodian of its
plan and records who may be the City Clerk.
The Commission shall make its own rules of procedure
and determine the times of its meetings. All meetings of the Planning
Commission at which any official action is taken shall be open to
the public. All records of the Commission shall be a public record.
The Planning Commission shall have the authority
vested in Municipal Planning Commissions by Chapter 7, Title 22, Delaware
Code, 1953, as amended, and shall perform the duties therein set forth
whether or not such authority or duties are expressly referred to
herein.
