The Town hereby votes to authorize the Board of Selectmen, on behalf
of the Town, to join with other participating municipal and quasi-municipal
employers to group self-insure for the provisions of workers' compensation
benefits, as authorized by 39 M.R.S.A. § 23,[1] said group to be known as the "Maine Municipal Association Workers'
Compensation Fund" (fund).

Editor’s Note: 39 M.R.S.A. § 23 was repealed and replaced
by the Laws 1991, c. 885, § A-7, eff. Jan. 1, 1993. For current
provisions see 39-A M.R.S.A. § 403.
For that purpose and in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements
among participating employers, the Town hereby votes to authorize the Board
of Selectmen to enter into a fund indemnity agreement on behalf of the Town
and to take whatever other actions may be necessary.
The authority granted herein shall continue until revoked.
