As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
Meat and vegetable waste solids and liquids resulting from the handling, preparation, cooking and consumption of foods and shall include cans, glasses, bottles and other containers in which food has been preserved for consumption. It shall also include offal and any other decaying or vegetable substance.
All other waste including paper, cardboard. books, bags, rags, old clothes, leather, rubber, carpets, wood, excelsior, sawdust, tree branches, furniture, vehicles, ashes, cinders, metal shavings, wire, tin cans, glass, crockery and similar materials, cartons, boxes, manure and the wastes resulting from building construction or alteration work.
