Payrolls shall be paid in accordance with the duly adopted salary ordinance.
There is established a payroll account, and the Council may, by resolution, prescribe the manner in which payroll shall be drawn, who shall sign them and the dates on which payment shall be made.
At each meeting of the Mayor and Council, the Payroll Clerk shall submit for approval or ratification, as the case may be, the necessary payrolls for the amount due and payable the several officers and employees for consideration. The payroll shall be considered in due course and approved if found to be correct.
The Payroll Clerk shall thereafter draw checks on the Borough payroll account to the officers and employees entitled to payment therefrom.
In case of error or adjustment in the payroll, the Payroll Clerk shall see that such error adjustment is properly corrected and an appropriate record made thereof.
