General penalty — See Ch. 1, Art. III.
No person shall go upon lands of another for the purpose of hunting upon such lands within the territorial limits of the Borough, and no person shall take or attempt to take any animals of any type, including birds and fowl, by means of a steel or other trap, or set a steel or other trap for any animal, including birds or fowl, within the territorial limits of the Borough, except that these prohibitions shall not apply to the owner or other occupants of the lands or to any other person having in his possession the written permission of the owner or occupant thereof to hunt or trap thereon. The permit shall not extend beyond the calendar year for which it is issued.
No person shall fire or discharge or cause to be fired or discharged any missile larger than No. 4 fine shot; provided, however, that this limitation shall not be applicable to any pistol, rifle or firing range equipped with proper safeguards for the protection of life and property.

A. 
No person shall discharge a shotgun or other firearm, or hunt with a firearm, or kill, trap, or catch any game animals or fowl within 300 feet of any dwelling house, public street, or highway; provided, however, that this shall not prohibit the use of firearms for the protection of life, person, or property.
B. 
No person shall discharge an arrow from a bow within 150 feet of residential property or a public roadway.
This chapter shall not be intended to include any person authorized to discharge a firearm by reason of his membership in any Police Department or any law enforcement agency in the line of duty or training therefor, or any public officers or other persons authorized by law to carry and discharge firearms in the performance of their duties or for any other lawful purpose.
This chapter is adopted for the purpose of maintaining the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Borough and their property within its territorial limits.
