The provisions of this Article shall apply except
when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or
official traffic control device.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIII (§
263-49), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIV (§
263-50), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XV (§
263-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XVI (§
263-52) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVII (§
263-53) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XVIII (§
263-54) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XIX (§
263-55) at any time between the hours listed in said schedule of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XX (§
263-56), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
The locations described in Schedule XXI (§
263-57), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XXII (§
263-58), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XXIII (§
263-59), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.
The locations described in Schedule XXIV (§
263-60), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated for use only by vehicles displaying a valid handicapped parking permit. Additional spaces in private and municipal parking lots shall be as designated by the Bureau of Code Enforcement and Fire Prevention.
No motor vehicle as defined in the vehicle and
traffic law of the State of New York nor any recreational vehicle
nor any farm vehicle, nor any construction vehicle shall be parked
on any public street, right-of-way or sidewalk within the corporate
limits of the Village of Albion between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and
6:00 a.m. of each day during the period beginning at 2:00 a.m. on
November 15 in each year and ending 6:00 a.m. on April 15 of the following
year.
The parking of vehicles in any portion of the
area hereinbefore described shall be limited to such parking time
or parking limitations as have been fixed by other ordinances of the
Village of Albion; provided, however, that in no event shall any vehicle
remain parked in the municipal parking lot or on any other Village-owned
property for a period in excess of 72 consecutive hours without permission
of the Chief, Village of Albion, Police Department.
