The Village of Monroe shall contain, on and
after the effective date of this article, in addition to the territory
theretofore contained within its boundaries, the following describe
territory:
A. Beginning at a point in the municipal boundary line
of the Town of Monroe from the northeast and the Village of Monroe
on the southwest said point being in the westerly line of lands now
or formerly David C. Talmadge as recorded in Liber 1393, Page 467,
Liber 2166, Page 171, and Liber 1226, Page 496, said point of beginning
being located 214.34 feet on a course of N. 64°-58-15 E. from
the present terminus of Course No. 45 as shown on a certain map entitled
"Map Showing Boundaries of the Village of Monroe, Inc., County of
Orange, State of New York," prepared by Raimondi Associates, P.C.,
Monroe, New York and revised to May, 1990, and running; thence,
(1) N. 23°-37-46 E. 277.27 feet along said division
line and also along the division line of lands now or formerly Harold
Zuckerman and A.L.I.P.A. and Associates on the northwest and the aforementioned
lands of David C. Talmadge on the northeast. Also being Course No.
16 as shown on the aforementioned plat to a bend point fence; thence,
(2) S. 69°-36-17 E. 194.82 feet along the same and
Course No. 117 as shown on the aforementioned plat to a bend point
fence; thence,
(3) S. 52°-50-03 E. 50.17 feet still along the same
and Course No. 118 as shown on the aforementioned plat to a bend point
fence said point being distant 521.78 feet on a course of S. 64°-58-15
W. from the terminus of Course No. 114 as shown on the aforementioned
plat; thence,
(4) S. 64°-58-15 W. 368.31 feet through the aforementioned
land of David C. Talmadge and along the former municipal boundary
line of the Town of Monroe and the Village of Monroe to the point
and place of beginning.
C. It being the intent to describe and annex into the
Village of Monroe all of said land of David C. Talmadge that lies
within the Town of Monroe.
The Village Board of the Village of Monroe finds that the petition for the petition for annexation has complied with Article 17 of the General Municipal Law and that the annexation of such property is the best interest of the public. The territory described in §
A205-4 is hereby annexed to the Village of Monroe pursuant to Article 17 of the General Municipal Law.
The annexation of the above territory described in §
A205-4 of this article shall become effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
