All covered employees, irrespective of their
date of hire, while receiving workers compensation insurance payments
shall be entitled to receive from the Village the lesser of:
A. Fifty percent of their salary; or
B. That percentage of their salary that, when added to
their insurance payment, would equal 100% of the individual’s
regular salary. This supplemental pay shall not be provided to any
employee for more than one month of supplemental pay for each year
of service and, notwithstanding how many years of service an employee
has with the Village, the duration of this supplemental pay shall
not exceed the lesser of one year or the duration of the actual workers
compensation coverage. During this period of coverage, the employee
shall be entitled to retain any insurance payment received by him
or her from workers compensation.
