The purpose of the Youth Activities Board shall be to serve in an advisory
capacity to the Village Board of Trustees (hereinafter called the "Village
Board") regarding youth activities in the Village of Sea Cliff and to oversee
the operation of the Sea Cliff Youth Center.
The members of the Youth Activities Board shall be appointed by and
serve at the pleasure of the Village Board. The membership of the Youth Activities
Board shall be comprised of seven adult and four youth members. The Village
Board will appoint one member to serve as Chairperson, and the Chairperson
will select one member to record the minutes of meetings. When a member resigns,
or upon notification to the Village Board from the Chairperson that a member
has had three consecutive unexcused absences, the Village Board will appoint
a new member to fill that member's unexpired term.
The Youth Activities Board shall submit regular reports of its meetings
and of Youth Center Activities to the Village Board.
The Youth Activities Board shall be responsible for recommending to
the Village Board:
A. The general policies and rules regarding the operation
of the Sea Cliff Youth Center.
B. Appointments to the professional staff of the Youth Center.
C. A budget to cover the salaries, equipment, supplies and
services needed to operate the Youth Center.
Recommendations for any and all purchases shall be submitted on requisition
forms to the Village Board for approval prior to purchase.
All funds received for the operation of the Youth Center, purchase of
equipment, supplies and services and all other Youth Activities Board functions
shall be administered by the Village Board or its designated representative.
The Youth Activities Board shall submit to the Village Board any recommendations
it has regarding other youth activities not included in the Sea Cliff Youth
Center Program.
These rules and regulations may not be amended or modified without the
approval of the Village Board by duly adopted resolution.
