An article to regulate the speed of vessels and to provide for the safe use of the waters in Denton Township, Roscommon County; enacted under the authority of Act 303, PA of 1967, as amended,[1] [M.S.A. 18.1287(17)] being identical to State Administrative Rules filed in the Office of the Secretary of State.

All words and phrases used in this article shall be construed and have the same meanings as those words and phrases defined in Act 303, PA 1967, as amended, M.S.A. 18.1287(8).
By authority conferred on the Commission of Natural Resources by Section 12 of Act 303 of the PA of 1967,[1] and Section 250 of Act No. 380 of PA of 1965,[2] (being 281.1012 and 16.350 of the Michigan Complied Laws).

R281.772.9. Houghton Lake canals and channels: slow — no-wake speed.
On the waters of the canals and channels connected to Houghton Lake in sections 2, 9, 10, and 15, T22N, R3W, Denton Township, Roscommon County, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow — no-wake speed.

Violation of this article shall be a municipal civil infraction, and proceedings shall be instituted pursuant to Chapter 38, Municipal Civil Infractions.
