The office of Deputy Township Clerk of the Township of Harrison, in the County of Gloucester, is hereby created and provided for as authorized and pursuant to the authority of the N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135.
The Deputy Township Clerk shall be appointed by the Township Committee.
The salary of the Deputy Township Clerk for the remainder of the year 1973 shall be fixed by amendment to the 1973 Salary ordinance and thereafter shall be fixed from year to year by the Annual Salary Ordinance.[1]

Editor's Note: The Salary Ordinance is on file in the office of the Municipal Clerk.
The term of office of the Deputy Township Clerk shall commence with the date of appointment and be for the remainder of the year 1973 and thereafter shall be for one year.
The Deputy Township Clerk shall during the absence or disability of the Township Clerk have all of the powers of the Township Clerk and shall perform all of the functions and duties of the office of Township Clerk.
