[Adopted 3-6-1989 by Ord. No. 1-1989]
The Township of Harrison does hereby establish the position of Chief Financial Officer for the Township of Harrison in accordance with the authority and conditions set forth under Chapter 110, Public Law 1988, referred to above[1] to perform the duties and to carry out the responsibilities set forth at N.J.S.A. 52:27BB-26 et seq.

Editor's Note: "Referred to above" refers to the preamble to Ord. No. 1-1989 which read: "WHEREAS Section 5 of the Public Laws of 1988, Chapter 110, amending Public law of 1971, Chapter 13 and Public Law of 1977, Chapter 39 and supplementing Chapter 9 and Title 40A of the New Jersey Statutes mandates that each municipality establish the position of Chief Financial Officer to carry out the responsibilities set forth in N.J.S.A. 52:27BB-26 et seq."
The Chief Financial Officer shall be compensated consistent with the present compensation of Treasurer of the Township of Harrison with any modifications thereafter to be established by the Annual Salary Ordinance.[1]

The term of the position of Chief Financial Officer shall be one year with each term ending on December 31 of each year.
The appointment of an individual to fill the position of Chief Financial Officer shall be consistent with the provisions of Public Laws of 1988, Chapter 110.
