The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall
advise the Planning Board as to studies needed and the utilization
of the resources and the satisfaction of the needs of the Town with
respect to its physical, economic and social development as affecting
the health, safety, morale and general welfare of the people and the
economy and efficiency of community life and shall be responsible
for developing, implementing and updating the Comprehensive Plan.[1]
The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall work with and advise the Planning Board as to matters outlined in Chapter 5, Article V, Planning Board; and Chapter A261, Land Development and Subdivision Regulations, or as updated by the Town Council.
The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall
be functionally and administratively responsible to the Town Manager
and shall initiate proposals for grants and projects and shall represent
the Planning Board, Town Council and Town Manager as required on various
state and local meetings and boards.
The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall
also serve as the chief advisor to all Town offices on all matters
affecting the environmental quality and future development of the
Town.
The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall
advise all Town officials on environmental issues concerning annual
capital improvement projects, coastal and wetlands projects and shall
be responsible for filing all grant applications for acquisition or
improvement to open space, recreational and other conservation efforts.
The Environmental Coordinator for Town Planning shall
advise all Town officials on all proposed sewer extensions And all
matters relating to water quality and protection of water sources.
The Town Manager shall draw a job description
which shall be made part of the Town's classification plan.
