Village of Island Park, NY Article II Digging for Clams

§ 166-3 Prohibited conduct.

It is unlawful for any person to dig or disturb the sand in search of clams or similar bivalve mollusks or for other related reasons in, on or upon the beach or beaches of the Incorporated Village of Island Park.

§ 166-4 Penalties for offenses. [1]

Any person committing an offense against this article shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding 15 days for each offense, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
