Pursuant to Section 11 of the Uniform Fire Safety
Act (N.J.S.A. 52:27D-202), the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code shall
be locally enforced in the municipality of Egg Harbor City.

The local enforcing agency shall be the Council
of the City of Egg Harbor.
The local enforcement agency shall enforce the
Uniform Fire Safety Act (N.J.S.A. 52:27D-192 et seq.) and the codes
and regulations adopted under it in all buildings, structures and
premises within the established boundaries of Egg Harbor City, other
than owner-occupied one- and two-family dwellings, and shall faithfully
comply with the requirements of the Uniform Fire Safety Act and the
Uniform Fire Code.

The local enforcing agency established by §
150-2, through its Fire Official, shall carry out the periodic inspections of life hazard uses required by the Uniform Fire Code, N.J.A.C. 5:70 et seq. and the Uniform Fire Safety Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-192 et seq. on behalf of the Commission of Community Affairs.

The Fire Chief shall report to Mayor and Council
of the City of Egg Harbor.

A. The Fire Official shall be appointed by the Council
of the City of Egg Harbor.
B. The Fire Official shall serve for a term of four years.
Pursuant to Sections 15 and 17 of the Uniform
Fire Safety Act (N.J.S.A. 52:27D-206 and 52:27D-208), any person aggrieved
by any order of the local enforcement agency shall have the right
to appeal to the Construction Board of Appeals of Egg Harbor City.

A. In addition to the annual inspection and fees required pursuant to
the Uniform Fire Safety Act and the regulations of the Department

B. The City of Egg Harbor reserves the right to amend local inspection
fees or the number of inspections, as permitted by law.

A. The application fee for a permit shall be as follows:
(3) Type 2 propane exchange:
(a)
Seven hundred twenty pounds or less: $150.
(b)
Seven hundred twenty-one pounds to 2,500 pounds: $350.
B. Permit fees shall be set forth in the fee schedule in the office
of the Fire Official.
