A. Every person convicted of a violation of any provision
of this chapter which is not a parking violation or a violation of
any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York
shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not
less than $25 nor more than $100 or by imprisonment for not more than
15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such
conviction within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished
by a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $200 or by imprisonment
for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment;
upon a third or subsequent conviction within 18 months after the first
conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not less than
$25 nor more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. Parking fines.

(2) The
fines for all violations not paid or contested within seven days of
the date of the violation (as determined by the postmark date for
all submissions by mail) shall increase to an amount equal to the
base level fine plus an additional $20. The fines for all violations
not paid or contested within 30 days of the date of the violation
shall increase to an amount equal to the base level fine plus an additional
$80.
C. Any fines which are unpaid after 30 days will subject
the vehicle which was the subject of the fine to immobilization, and/or
towing and impoundment, along with additional fees.
D. The Board of Trustees reserves to itself the power to regulate and amend the schedule of fines for parking violations imposed in the Village of Morrisville (Subsection
B of this §
169-23) by the passage of a resolution of such Board of Trustees, without requirement of any public hearing or other proceedings as a prior condition of any such resolution.
