Village of Sagaponack, NY Chapter 21 Bathing Attire

§ 21-1 Public bathing without suitable attire prohibited.

Public bathing in any of the waters within the Village unless in a suitable bathing dress or covering is hereby prohibited.

§ 21-2 Wearing bathing suits on public streets.

No persons attired in bathing suits or garments commonly used for swimming or public bathing shall enter any store or public building or walk or otherwise travel while so attired on any public street, road or public place.

§ 21-3 Exceptions.

This chapter shall not apply to persons under 12 years of age.

§ 21-4 Penalties for offenses.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.
