As used in this chapter, the following words shall have the
respective meanings indicated:
AMUSEMENT GAMES
Any legal coin-controlled or coin-operated amusement game
or games.
LOCATION
Any indoor place or enclosure in which is maintained or operated
for the amusement, patronage or recreation of the public any legal
coin-controlled or coin-operated amusement game or games.
OWNER or OPERATOR
Any person who owns, controls, leases, manages or otherwise
has control of a location, as above described, in which amusement
games are exhibited, displayed or maintained for the use by any person.

PERSON
Any individual who may regularly operate, use or play with
an amusement game above set forth or any individual, firm, partnership,
corporation, trust, trustee or receiver.
The issuance of a license by the Village of Woodridge shall
be for such period to terminate on June 1 following the issuance thereof.
In the event that there should be a change of ownership, change of
location or change of management under which said amusement game is
operated, the license issued shall terminate.

No amusement games shall be maintained, operated, displayed
or offered in any location except where the primary business operated
thereon shall be some business other than the maintenance or operation
of amusement games operated and maintained therein, and in no event
shall there be more than two amusement games in any one location.
Every location where licensed amusement games are maintained
as herein provided shall at all times be under proper supervision
and management when such amusement games are exposed for play, and
every owner and operator shall be responsible for keeping order in
and about his location. There shall be no loitering or unlawful congregation
of persons in or about any location. The failure to maintain supervision
as herein provided or loitering and unlawful congregation shall be
grounds for revocation of licenses issued.
Every owner or operator of an amusement game shall be required
to first obtain a license as aforesaid before such game is offered
or exposed for use to or by any person. The licensee shall be a citizen
of the United States and of good moral character. Such license shall
be issued by the licensing officer aforesaid within 14 days after
receipt of application therefor by the Village Clerk. The failure
to issue such license within such period of time shall be deemed a
refusal to issue the same.
The Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Woodridge may
revoke any license issued under this chapter to any person for good
cause shown and after a hearing, written notice of which shall be
served upon such licensee at least five days prior thereto, and such
licensee shall be given an opportunity to defend himself at such hearing,
with or without counsel.

The fee(s) shall be set by resolution of the Board of Trustees
from time to time. The current fee schedule is available at the Village Clerk's
office.

Any offense committed against this chapter is hereby declared
to be a violation, punishable by a maximum fine of $250 or by imprisonment
for not more than 15 days, or both.
