An Animal Spay/Neuter Pound Fund shall be established
as follows:
A. Fifty percent of the revenue generated from the surcharge
collected on each dog license shall be deposited in a special account
known as the "Animal Spay/Neuter Pound Fund."
B. Fifty percent of the revenue generated from fines collected pursuant to §
116-47 and §
116-52 shall be deposited in a special account known as the "Animal Spay/Neuter Pound Fund."
The sole purpose of the Animal Spay/Neuter Pound
Fund is to provide funding for low-cost spay/neuter assistance for
the spaying and neutering of animals currently residing in the City's
animal shelter.
The Director of Finance shall set up an Animal
Spay/Neuter Pound Fund to be used specifically for the purpose described.
The Animal Control Officer is hereby authorized
to exercise control over those funds that are ultimately disbursed
by the Director of Finance.
All monies in this account shall be carried
over in the account from fiscal year to fiscal year.
The Animal Control Officer shall provide to
the Animal Control Committee a biannual report detailing revenues
and expenditures relative to the Animal Spay/Neuter Pound Fund.
