Every bicycle being ridden within the Borough of Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania, shall be equipped with adequate brakes and other equipment, as required by the Vehicle Code of Pennsylvania Act of April 29, 1959, P.L. 58, Section 801 et seq., as amended and as may be amended from time to time after the passage of this chapter.[1]

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of such fine and costs by imprisonment for not more than 30 days. Each day a violation exists shall constitute a separate offense.
