Editor's Note: The Planning Board was originally
established by resolution of the Town Board 4-26-1966.
Pursuant to the provisions of § 271
of the Town Law, said Planning Board which has heretofore been created
shall consist of seven members in the name and style of "Planning
Board, Town of Neversink." The members first appointed have been heretofore
appointed for terms of one, two, three, four and five years as designated
by their appointments. One new member shall be appointed for a term
of six years and the other for a term of seven years, such terms to
expire on December 31. Hereafter, upon the expiration of the term
of each member, his reappointment or the appointment of his successor
shall be for a term of seven years. If a vacancy shall occur otherwise
than by expiration of term, it shall be filled by the Town Board by
appointment for the unexpired term. The Planning Board shall have
all the powers granted by the Town Law, and the members thereof shall
elect their own Chairman.
