Pursuant to the provisions of the Urban Redevelopment Law, Act of May 24, 1945, P.L. 991, as amended,[1] there is hereby created a Vacant Property Review Committee to function within the Borough of Lansdowne and which shall exercise all powers and be subject to all limitations as provided in said Act.

The membership of the Vacant Property Review Committee shall consist of the following persons:
A. 
The Chairperson of the Borough Council Committee overseeing zoning and building code issues.
B. 
A representative designated by the Lansdowne Redevelopment Authority.
C. 
A representative designated by the Director of the Delaware County Planning Department (which representative may be an employee of either the Delaware County Planning Department or the Delaware County Office of Housing and Community Development).
D. 
A representative of the Lansdowne Planning Commission.
E. 
A representative from the executive branch of the government of the municipality appointed by the Council President.
The Chairperson of the Vacant Property Review Committee shall be appointed by those persons identified in § 98-2. The members of the Committee shall also select from among themselves a Vice Chairperson and a Secretary, each to serve for a two-year term, and then reappointment shall occur from among the Committee members.
Members of the Vacant Property Review Committee shall be appointed by Borough Council for a term of two years, said appointment being made at the biennial reorganization meeting of the Borough Council. The Council may also make appointments to fill vacancies in the interim.
