As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
MINOR
Any person under the age of 18 years.
PARENT
Any natural or adoptive parent of a minor, a guardian or
any adult person 18 years of age or over responsible for the care
and custody of a minor.
PUBLIC PLACE
Any public street, sidewalk, highway, road, alley, park,
playground, public building or vacant lot.
REMAIN
To loiter, idle, wander, walk, stroll or play in or upon.

A. No minor person shall be or remain upon any street, highway, alley,
park or public place in the Borough of Lansdowne after the hour of
10:00 p.m. and before the hour of 5:00 a.m. the following day, as
measured by the prevailing time, except that the restrictions shall
apply at 12:00 midnight and remain until 5:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday
evening and the eve and day of New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial
Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Columbus Day (Monday
holiday), Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas, except for
any child 16 years of age or under for whom the curfew shall be 11:00
p.m. on the days specified. Such restrictions shall be imposed unless
the minor person is accompanied by his parent guardian or is in the
performance of employment for which he is receiving compensation.
B. The Mayor of the Borough of Lansdowne is authorized to issue to employers
certifications of employment of minor persons, which certification
shall be evidence by the minor when such minor is in a public place
during the hour of curfew restriction.
It shall be unlawful for any parent, guardian or other person having the legal care or custody of a person under the age of 18 years to allow or permit such minor person to be in or upon any of the streets, highways, alleys, parks or public places in the Borough of Lansdowne after the hours mentioned aforesaid in violation of §
162-2 hereof.

Nothing herein is intended to relieve the responsibility of
the minor person from the enforcement of this chapter. Any juvenile
may be charged with the violation of this chapter, which may result
in reporting the violation to the juvenile authorities of Delaware
County. Should the juvenile person be between the ages of 16 and 18
years of age, upon being found guilty before a Magisterial District
Judge, he shall be fined not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution,
and in default of payment of such fine and costs be imprisoned for
not more than 30 days.
