A Municipal Court for the Township of Galloway is established as of January 1, 1949, pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq. (L. 1993, c. 293), and as amended and supplemented.
The name of the Municipal Court shall be the "Municipal Court of Galloway Township."
The Municipal Court shall have a seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the Court.

There shall be a Judge of said Municipal Court, who shall be appointed by the Township Council and who shall serve for a term of three years from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified; provided, however, the Township Recorder who shall be in office upon this ordinance becoming effective shall be the Judge of the Municipal Court and shall continue to be the Judge for a term equal to the balance of the term for which he was originally appointed.
The Judge of the Municipal Court shall receive an annual salary to be fixed by the Salary Ordinance[1] and to be paid in the same manner as the salaries of the municipal officers are paid, and which shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and any other allowance whatsoever.

Said Municipal Court and the Judge thereof shall have, possess and exercise all the functions, powers, duties and jurisdiction conferred by the provisions of N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq. (L. 1993, c. 293), as amended and supplemented, or by any other law.[1]

The Municipal Court shall be held in the Township Hall, day and time will be set by the presiding Judge, as per court rules.
