The position of Township Manager for Forks Township is created, effective November 1, 1997. While the office of Township Manager exists, the Board of Supervisors shall appoint one person to fill the office. The Township Manager shall serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors and may be removed by the Board of Supervisors, with or without cause, at any time.

The powers and duties of the Township Manager shall be as set forth in Appendix A[1] which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. In the event that the Board of Supervisors decides to further modify the powers and duties of the Township Manager, the Board of Supervisors shall do so by enactment of an ordinance.

The Township Manager shall give bond to the Township with sufficient surety, in an amount as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the office of Township Manager.

The compensation of the Township Manager shall be set forth from time to time by resolution by the Township Board of Supervisors.
