The accounts of the Township of Upper Allen shall be audited by an independent auditor who shall be a certified public accountant registered in Pennsylvania, a firm of certified public accountants so registered or a competent public accountant or a competent firm of public accountants.
[Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I)]
This chapter provides for an independent auditor to be appointed biannually at the reorganization meeting of the Upper Allen Township Board of Commissioners.
Such independent auditor shall have and possess all the powers and perform all the duties provided in the First Class Township Code[1] for elected Auditors.

Upon appointment of an independent auditor by the Board of Commissioners of Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, the office of elected Auditor is hereby abolished.
