The Sheriff, his deputies, and designees are hereby authorized and directed to enforce this chapter and all rules, regulations, and penalties of §
158-4 related to parking.
It shall be unlawful and a traffic infraction for any person,
whether able-bodied or not, to beg or solicit money or other things
of value, in or upon any street or highway, or any right-of-way designated
as a highway for law enforcement purposes only. The penalty for a
first infraction under this section shall be a fine not to exceed
$100, and the penalty for any second and subsequent infraction under
this section shall be a fine not to exceed $200.
It shall be unlawful and a traffic infraction for any person
to solicit or sell to persons in motor vehicles, from a stand or otherwise,
or upon any street or highway, or any rights-of-way designated as
a highway for law enforcement purposes only. The penalty for a first
infraction under this section shall be a fine not to exceed $100,
and the penalty for any second and subsequent infraction under this
section shall be a fine not to exceed $200.
