It shall be unlawful for any minor under the age of 17 years to loiter,
idle, wander, stroll or play in, or remain in or be upon, the public streets,
highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, wharves, docks or other public
grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and entertainment,
vacant lots or other public places within the confines of the borough, between
the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day; provided, however,
that the provisions of this section do not apply to any minor accompanied
by his parent, guardian or other adult person having care or custody of the
minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business
directed by his parent or guardian or other adult person having the care or
custody of the minor.
It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian or other adult person
having the care or custody of a minor under the age of 17 to permit such minor
to loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in, or remain in or be upon, the public
streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, wharves, docks or other
public grounds, public places and public buildings, places of amusement and
entertainment, vacant lots or other public places within the confines of the
borough, between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the following day;
provided, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to any
minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the
care or custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon any emergency errand
or legitimate business directed by his parent or guardian or other adult person
having care or custody of the minor, so long as the minor has in his possession
written permission, dated and signed by his parent, guardian or other adult
person having the care or custody of the minor.
Any minor violating the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties provided for minors by statute, and any adult violating the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties provided for in Chapter
1, General Provisions, §
1-15.
